i-Buddies new arrivals
Online applications for the autumn i-Buddies scheme will open for new students by September 2025.
If you are an existing AV短视频 student, there are other ways that you can meet students this term, including our Explore UK weekend trips programme and our regular Global Social drop-in events. Look out for emails from International Student Support or check our Instagram for events updates.
How does it work?
- When you are enrolled on your course at AV短视频, you will be sent details of the scheme and an application form
- We will match you with an existing AV短视频 student, who will become your "Buddy"
- Your Buddy will contact you at the start of the new term so you can start getting to know them
- Your Buddy will keep in contact with you during your first term through meeting up or chatting online – whatever suits you best
- You will also be invited to attend official i-Buddies events, such as on-campus activities and trips including bonfire night and ice-skating
- The scheme runs for one term, only but many Buddies become friends and choose to stay in contact
- We have a limited number of AV短视频 Buddies available and there is often a waiting list, so we strongly recommend an early application
The i-Buddies scheme is optional – you don’t have to take part if you don’t want to.
